Preservation Pub Crawl

Manhattan, New York City

Friday June 12, 2015

Joint Boston Pub Crawl - Details Forthcoming

                Pier A Harbor House

The pub crawl will commence promptly at 5:00 pm at the Pier A Harbor House, located within City Pier A in the Hudson River at the southern tip of Manhattan. This historic pier once served the docks and harbor police as well as the city’s fire department, but was abandoned and fell into disrepair and vacancy in the 1990s. An extensive restoration project was completed in 2014 and this landmarked structure is now open to the public, offering soaring views of the Brooklyn Bridge and Statue of Liberty.
                Historic Stone Street
We will continue on to some of the finest establishments on Historic Stone Street. Nestled in the heart of the Financial District, this cobblestone thoroughfare is rich with history dating back to the 1600s. Our friends at the Dubliner are excited to welcome us into their bar, as well as a few of their affiliated restaurants along the street.
              Fraunces Tavern
The last stop of the ‘official’ tour will be the Bissell Room inside Fraunces Tavern. Allegedly this was once the preferred watering hole of George Washington himself, and includes a rich history that dates back to the Revolutionary War. Snacks and appetizers will be provided at this stop.
